Every day is a treasure hunt.
A little history....
During WW2 our current location was a secret; it was home to the Westland Lysander, an aircraft used to place or recover undercover agents behind enemy lines, particularly to help the French Resistance.
The Aircraft was named after the great Spartan General who overthrew Athens in Ancient Greece.
Our home not only inspired the name but also inspires what we do. We love the history of all the pieces we source and feel it is fitting that an important historical warehouse is being used to preserve the past.
The antiques trade is a passion. If you are into art, design, history, or the sciences….it will tick all the boxes. There’s always something to learn about, and as the old saying goes…..everyday is a school day.
About Us.......
Our-not-so-top-secret location is in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire. For decades, it has been a go-to destination for its antique centres and shops and has appeared on many TV shows.
Lysanders sprung into action in 2025, two like-minded dealers and one amazing location, we are hoping the rest will be history…….
For the moment, Lysanders is just getting started but there’s plenty of assignments in the logbook so keep an eye on that Instagram radar to see our undercover operations.
Thanks for parachuting in.
Every mission starts with a little curiosity.
