Every day is a treasure hunt.

A little history....
During the Second World War, our current location was a place of secrecy. It served as a base for the Westland Lysander – an aircraft famed for its covert role in placing and recovering undercover agents behind enemy lines, most notably in support of the French Resistance. Operating under cover of darkness, the Lysander became synonymous with precision, bravery, and discretion.
The aircraft itself took its name from the Spartan general Lysander, a figure associated with strategy, resolve, and the turning of tides. It’s a fitting namesake.
That history doesn’t just inspire our name – it shapes our approach. From this former wartime warehouse, we continue a quieter preservation. Every object we source carries its own story: of design, function, craftsmanship, and the world that produced it. it feels only right that an important historic building is now dedicated to safeguarding pieces of the past.
About Us.......
Our-not-so-top-secret base is in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire – long regarded as a key destination for antiques centres and specialist shops, and familiar to many through its appearances on television over the years.
Lysanders came fully operational in 2025: two like-minded dealers and one remarkable RAF site, and a shared belief that the right setting matters as much as the objects themselves. Since launch, operations have expanded steadily, with stock turning over regularly and new assignments added to the logbook.
While the mission continues to evolve, activity is constant. You’ll find us trading at fairs across the UK, conducting private viewings by appointment, and sharing ongoing reconnaissance via Instagram – where recent acquisitions, field reports, and undercover operations are logged in real time.
Thanks for parachuting in.

Every mission starts with a little curiosity.
